I just ordered 5 copies of Windows 7 Pro and hopefully get to start the installations by next week.

I run a Windows 2000 Mixed-Mode domain and use Home Directories via Active Directory. My main concern is the functionality of Windows 7 in my current domain.

Will Windows 7 work in a Windows 2000 Mixed-Mode domain environment? I mean as far as joining the domain, Active Directory security features, etc?

Will Windows 7 adapt to my Home directory structure?

Anything else I should know about Windows 7 and joining it to a domain???

I posted this in the Windows 7 forum. see the post here.

Don't see why it won't work but when you say Windows 2000 mixed mode as opposed to native, are you still running NT servers?

No I'm not running NT4 servers. I've got a mix of Win2k and Win2k3 servers. I just started at this place and have yet to rid of all Win2k servers so as to only have a Win2k3 domain. In due time I suppose.

So far windows 7 is working fine in a mixed-mode domain.
