Hi there,

I've a weird problem. My PC with Win2k running on it started to fail during the bootup. It runs fine up to the point when light blue screen with GUI starts and message "Windows starting up". Then it restarts by itself and do it continiously. The HDD is fine (I checked it on other machine).

Any suggestions?

Make sure everything is properly seated and securely connected.

If that's ok, then make sure that the CPU's fan is running.

If ok, then either the power supply module, MB ,memory, or video card may be bad.

Can you boot in safe mode? Directly after the Power On Self Test completes when you turn on your PC (right before windows starts to load), tap the F8 Key. A menu should appear...select "Safe Mode" and see if you can boot into windows that way. Is this possible...?
