Windows 2008, SQL 2008 and MOSS 2007 install

When going through the MOSS 2007 config wizard I get the following error

get Event 6141 – Site couldn’t be created – Exception 0x81070209, followed by event 104 – Failed to create Configuration database

All accounts seem to be in order, active directory is working OK.

I am installing MOSS in farm environment. seperate WFE with IIS, seperate SQL 2008 box and then the APP box that I am installing MOSS 2007

I have used the following blog

Off hand I would make sure that you don't have the Windows 2008 firewall turned on on your SQL 2008 Server. Can you ping your SQL server from your wfe?
