Hi,

We are about to create a new domain for a new project. Our existing 2003 domain will be trusted to the new domain with limitations and access controls either way. We will require a new firewall between the two domains. We may be looking at mac address filtering etc to limit access. I was just wondering if any body could recommend a firewall to sit in between the two domains. The firewall will require routing. I know this is quite an open question.

Looking for some advice / guidance.

Thanks

Depends on how much you want to spend and what features you are looking for. You can roll your using a software based solution or go with the standard Cisco, Chekpoint, Juniper, etc We typically employ Cisco ASA/PIX or Juniper SRX firewalls.
