Greetings All;

I have an issue that I need some assistance with.
We have a Win2K server that is the DC and and win2k Terminal server running citrix. We are retiring the Win2k Terminal server and replacing it with Win3K. Now here is where I am getting a little ticked off.

When ever a new user logs in to the Win3k Terminal server, My Computer, My Documents, My Network Places and Internet Explorer does not automatically show up. I want that whenever a new user logs in that My Computer, My Documents...etc automatically shows itself to user. (I know that you can change it by display settings. But if you have 100 users....could lead to many headaches.)
I looked throught the Local security settings as well as GPO but could not see anything that would allow me to change it to see all the desktop items.

Any help would be creatly appreciated.

Have you tried setting the policy to force Classic view? This is found under User Config->Administrative Templates->Start Menu and Taskbar->Force Classic Start Menu (on the right side). Enable this, and you should be fine.

There are some issues that could effect this though. Is this server a part of the domain and is it receiving the Domain Policy (it sounds like it is from your description)? You may need to place this in it's own container and create it's own policy.

If it is on it's own, then the local policy should be all you need to do.
