I am just setting up Windows Server 2003 Small Business.

I've done one before but it has totally gone out of my head.

I am creating a ***.local domain. After I have promoted the server to a domain contoller I remember setting up some forwarders in DNS and deleting the "." zone.....

Can anyone give me any guidance on where the "." zone is and the forwarder?? Much appreciated.

If you're going through the correct wizards, this isn't done in SBS. Additionally, promotion to DC is automatic, as part of the setup process (as is the creation of the DNS zone).
