hey folks!...help me out. I just moved to a windows 2003 server domain network with active directory. I'm runniong TCP/Ip printing with HP print servers. The printers are insatlled locally on my servers then shared to clients. My question is how do i setup some kind of notification that will notify my clients after their print jobs comlete. Like the type that netware has. is that possible?. Do i need special software?.

All help appreciated. Thanks.

On print server.

Go to printers folder, then file, then server properties then advanced.

Tick notify when remote documents are printed.

Also, make sure the Messanger service is running on any workstations that you want recieving the notifications. Sometimes this is disabled because it gets annoying (antivirus and UPS applications come to mind).
