Hi,
Is anyone familier with Windows 2003 Quarantine service with VPN Access.

My server configuration is in an order but the client QSampale script doesn't pass or doest remove from quarantine status

Anyone could help me please

Wish I could help. I'm looking into deploying it.

Are you using ISA server as the VPN endpoint or RRAS?

Also, are there any errors on the client side / event logs etc?

Cheers,

Steve.

Hi Steve,
Thank for your response.

My office VPN setup - TESTING in process

Windows 2003 SP1 - RRAS (VPN Server) eanbled with Network Access Quarantine Control. - Server side configuration fine.

Client end:
User VPN dial-in connects and then time-out after 60 sec (as per policy)

Actual problem that I am experiencing is Script file doesn't passing through to remove the computer from QUARANTINE status.

I am using script provided by MICROSOFT - qsample.cmd

Regards,
PVR

You using L2TP or PPTP?

With L2TP you'd be using IPSEC, and therefore wouldn't the client need a certificate to authenticate correctly? Sure I read it in a TechNet article somwhere that the server will drop after 60 seconds if using PPTP as it should give the client long enough to get a cert from the CA.

?
