We have a 2003 print server that for some reason lost about 8-10 printers today. In order to not have to figure out which and recreate each one,as well as set up users to print to the new printers, we thought the best option would be to leverage Backup Exec and do a system state restore from a few days previous. Will this recover the missing printers? If not, what options do we have, go back to a FULL Backup tape? Thanks.

Not sure about restoring System State from Backup Exec, but in the past I have used the printmig tool from microsoft to nightly backup the printer settings, it's very simple then to restore them.

Not much use to you now, but might help to look at this to avoid future problems
