Hi

Want to purchase windows 2003 r2 standard to load onto existing machine.

Need to run a SQL express database and .net application on the machine to serve around 50 users.

Not clued up on licencing, but what are the main reasons for buying extra windows cals?

I'm not installing Active directory, exchange or sharing directories on this machine.

Can I not just buy 5 cal windows server 2003 r2 , to provide a platform to run these applications to 50 users?
