Hi,

While I was in hospital another member of staff loaded windows 2003 enterprise evaluation, thinking they could get a retail copy and upgrade. Work carried out by a third party have set-up their software on this system at a cost.

We have bought the retail copy of windows 2003 enterprise edition and tried to upgrade, which it will not.

Having googled for a few days the only thing that looks hopeful is an in-place upgrade. Not sure what I would end up with if I used this.

Any help out there?

IF you can do an in-place upgrade, I wouldn't expect you to have problems with 3rd party apps. But I'm not sure that you will be able to do that upgrade. You should be able to tell whether you can do an upgrade before the install really gets underway.
