Hi all!

I have two Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition cd but none of them boot. I have other cd (Windows 2003 Standard Edition) that boot fine but I need boot from a Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition. Has somebody this problem? How can I boot from this cd o do it bootable?

Thanks.

I don't know if it's doable with 2003 but i've had the same problem with 2000 server cd's.

If memory stands, you can boot to a win98 floppy with cd support, drop the 2003 cd in, change to the i386 directory and type in winnt.exe

This should start the load process, but again, if memory serves, it's a little slower starting the build process.

Lemme know if it works with 2003 for future reference...

I try to boot with a W98 boot disk but it does not recognize the scsi cdrom (Server HP Proliant DL740). I'm trying to do a W98 boot disk with support for scsi cdrom for HP Proliant servers.

Now I have a boot disk with support for SCSI CD. I boot from this disk a call winnt.exe. First a message appear indicating that I don't use smartdrive. I click continue without use smartdrive and then a message appear indicating that setup was unable to locate a drive with sufficient space to copy temporary installation files.

The disks are configured and a partition is created with Smart Array before I boot from the boot disk.

Can't you use the SmartStart CD to kick-off the O/S install?

No, I can't use SmartStart CD because I'm doing a disaster recovery with Brightstor Arcserve 11.

Did you fdisk to create a partition where the setup files can be stored?
