Hello all of you gurus out there,

Would anybody give me any ideas regarding this situation?
We have a NT 4 Domain with PDC and several BDC's. Recently We added a Windows 2003 Server ( Standard edition )as a stand alone server for sharing data. We mapped 2 drives to the 2003 server so that users using windows 98 and some Windows 2000Pro users can use data from those 2 mapped drives.

However, sometimes the Win98 users will lose connection to the mapped drives and could not retrieve data from the 2003 Server. Win2000 Pro users seemed to have no problems so far.
The Win 2003 server uses only TCP/IP, all win98 users have TCI/IP and Netbeui installed.

Is Windows 98 compatible with WIndows 2003 Server??

Any ideas???
Please reply.
Thanx!

P.S.I am a new user of Windows 2003 server.

jimmy888,

I'm having a similar problem, and it's only with the 98 clients. I have the AD Client installed, all critical (and non-critical updates) installed from windowsupdate.microsoft.com, and I even reinstalled the NIC drivers AND the client for Microsoft Networks, and no bueno. Have you found anyting regarding this issue?

Regards,
pborkstrom
