Hi all,

I have set up a failover cluster of 2 Windows 2003 Enterprise 64bit R2 Servers and all seems to be working fine..
I have one query though.. During the inital setup, I selected majority node set (not much use as I only have 2 servers). Since installation I have created a Quorum drive and the servers now use this instead of the Majority Node Set resource (which still exists in the Cluster group).

My question is whether this Majority node set resource is still needed for the server cluster - Can I delete it?

Cheers :)

Ax

I would suspect you do not need the Majority Node Set any more.

Before deleting it i would (out of hours) take it offline and test all the elements of you cluster to ensure all is running as it should be.

That all said if you are not 100% sure that it can be removed safely there is no real harm in leaving it in place.

Mike
