Windows 2003 backup agent problem

Every time I kickoff a backup against a Windows 2003 Server machine the backup agent for windows (version 9) stops. Has anyone been successful using the backup agent for windows against a Windows 2003 Server?

1-Are you talking about client agent or open file agent?
2-try get any cd which 9.01 from CA since there new patches has been added to the cd 9.01.

3- are there any errors in activity log or event veiwer.
