Ok here is my problem and I hope someone can help.
First I created a domain like domain.com. This is of course the root server and I installed DNS prior to AD install and created the primary zone domain.com so the AD install would go smooth and it did.
Next I created a child domain.. child.domain.com and before I installed AD I created another primary zone on the domain.com's dns and made sure I pointed the child.domain.com dc to the domain.com's ip for dns. The AD went smooth and updated all records fine.
I did the same thing for another child domain. child2.domain.com.
After I created all child domains I went back to the root server domain.com and changed the zones in the dns to AD Integrated zones.
My problem is the when I install DNS on the other child dc's for DNS Redundancy and try to create the AD Integrated zones again for all the dc's, root and childs, they don't have all the records that the root dc dns does.
Is there something I am missing here? Most of the articles I have read have said that you should be able to install dns on other DC's and the replication would show all the records.
The replication type I chose on the root dc dns for the zones is replicate to all dns servers in the domain.
Thanks,
Chad
