We have used a Windows 2000 Pro CD and floopy disc answer file and installed it on a laptop. It installed successfully, but when it keeps on rebooting and trying to run the installation setups over and over again.

Windows 2000 Pro never starts up, just keeps on running the installation setup and then reboots over and over. The CD is still in the CD drive, if you take it out is prompts you for the disc.

Is there something that wasn't installed right? What could be causing this laptop to getting rebooting and running the installation setup up.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks,
Jennifer

So the boot.ini file was not installed correctly... Should we try to reinstall windows 2000 pro answer file on this machine again?

Thanks,
Jennifer
