Hi

I've got a collection of nortel 2220 ap's, and I usually use them in conjunction with HHP dolphin handhelds, which work fine. Now the wireless structure is in place I started looking at getting our pc's wireless.

We have a mixture of win2k (sp4) and xp (sp2) here. I bought a netgear MA111v2 usb adapter, and that's when my hassles started...

Short version: works in XP, but not in win2k?

Longer version: In XP everything works, but bizarrely it works ONLY when running with Windows managing settings - it doesn't seem to like the proprietary netgear software config. We use an closed system SSID and WEP, and in XP it's all fine. On win2k though, where we can only use the netgear software, nothing will work. I can add all the settings, see the devices on a scan, but there is no signal and no connection apparently.

Anyone used one of these adapters on win2k successfully? Or know of a way of managing it differently?

BTW there is no chance to upgrade the win2k pc's to XP sadly :-(
