A point in the right direction please:
I want to setup a VPN using Windows 2000 Server. It already had AD, DNS and the Routing and Remote Access setup before I took over. I want to use PPTP.
First point where I go dumb...when all this is setup, how will users actually connect to the network and be able to work as though they were at their desk? Do I need to setup an Intranet site?
My previous company used Juniper VPN, had an outside IP where you use https, use a secure keychain password generator, then You are at a web page with network access to the internal Intranet. Then, to get to your desktop, they used RealVNC and you had control of your office computer as if you were sitting in front of it.
How can I do a similar thing using Windows 2000 PPTP?
