Windows 2000 telnet issues

When I telnet to my remote router I can enter password and I am into it. When I use a Terminal window I get in but it doesn't recognize the password I put in. Why would it work using the windows 2000 CMD.EXE but not using a terminal window like Hyperterm, TNVT plus

What are your settings in Hyperterm for terminal type/emulation ?

Try Hyperterm PE edition.
