I have a workstation on my network that keeps running some strange startup command I want to track down. When any user logs on, some script runs that opens a folder window that points to c:\documents. If that folder is deleted then an error message comes up.

I've looked in the 'All Users\start menu\programs\startup' folder and nothing looks fishy. Likewise when I look in the management console under 'System Information \ Software environment \ Startup Programs'. I'm also reasonably sure its not getting the command from the network.

So how else is there to make something start at logon?

thanks in advance

My first question would be is the user logging on Locally to the machine or onto the domain? If running locally then make sure within computer management that on the users profile tab there is no login script. Also like bcastner said run commands.
