windows 2000, slave harddrive problem! 1

I'm using win2000 and installed another HDD to my computer.
BIOS succesfully recognized my slave drive,win2000 too but only in hardware properties not in the windows explorer
I mean, I can see only the drive C: and the cdrom in windows exploer can't see the slave!!How can I enable my slave?? I really need help thanx!

Maybe it needs to be partitioned and formatted?
