You definatly have an incompatible driver. You should check the non-Plug&Play devices on your system and see the ones that could be a conflict. If you enter your device manager, go to the View option and turn on the Hidden Devices. You will see a list of non-PnP drivers. You may need to compare them with a fresh machine and see the ones that are different. You can install service pack 4, enter safe mode, disable a couple of them , reboot, keep going until you find which device is causing the problem. Once you find it, you can uninstall it or find the source of the software and update it.
