Windows 2000 service hang

I have a service (Crystal Reports Application Server) that seems to have stopped responding. When I try stop the server to restart it, it stays at a 'stopping' status and never stops. Rebooting the server will free it up but this is 2 days in a row now and this server is a major production server that cannot be rebooted that often.

Any ideas on how I can stop the service without having to reboot. Stopping it in the services windows does not seem to work.

Any help is much appreciated.
