Windows 2000 Server Scripts

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know anywhere to download any example login scripts for MS windows server 2000 ??

Im new to this and the job of administering the main file
server has fallen to me.

We already have login scripts set up that map a couple of drives depending on the department of the company the user works in, but I would like to do this with printers and assign shortcuts to specific programs on individual users desktops if it is possible.

Ive ordered a couple of microsoft books but they haven't arrived yet and id like to look some scripting examples.

Which books did you order? Im kind of in the same situation.We are using batch file and i want to use VB scripts

Hope this helps you mate, theyre both available on the microsoft site but it might be better to get them off amazon

Much more powerfull and flexible than DOS based logon scripts. It's free and there is good support and forums for it.
Shortcuts and printers are best assigned using GPO's applied to the appropriate OU.
