Windows 2000 server RPC error when I verify trusts

I have two separate domains connected via vpn. Lets call them domain A and Domain B. When I set up the trusts, they both verified just fine. but now when I try to verify from domain A to B I get a no RPC server available. When I verify from somain B to A it asks for a password, but then says that the network name is no longer available.

I have checked the rpc server on both domains, the server service etc.. all are running. Does anyone have any advice?

G - How are you physically connecting via VPN? W2K VPN or third party? Hardware VPN connection?
