How do I configure the firewall on Windows 2000 sever? Does it even have one?...When I go to control panel I dont see it there...If It doesnt have a firewall then how do i open port or allow certain program to run with no port restrictions??...thank you

without a firewall (and w2k doesnt come with one) you should have no probs with locked ports.
if you use a router it might be his firewall wich blocks the traffic, or your isp is blocking them.
how do you connect to inet?

Lemon13 I have a Domain Group Policy where I enabled the firewall on all computers.....after I did that my Windows 2000 Systems started to have problems.....on my Windows XP systems I can just go to control panel firewall and allow the programs that I want unblocked but there is no such option in Windows 2000........if Windows 2000 doe snot ahve a firewall then why when I created the firewall policy things stoped working?..i assumed it was because of the domain group policy
