I have a windows 2000 server running sp3, but when I try and login I just get a blue screen, I think all the services are loaded because all the clients can access printers, files, emails & virus software.

When I do a 'alt ctrl del' there are no applications loaded, when I try and load cmd or explorer task manager just closes down leaving me with a blank (blue) screen.

I have tried starting in safe mode and using windows 2000 repair from CD.

The problem seems to me is that the explorer shell is not loading.

any ideas ?

Have you tried the Windows 2000 Server forum? It would be more appropriate for this question.

Alternatively have you tried holding down the shift key as you logon to bypass the contents of the startup group?
