The RPC service is terminating each evening on my SBS service. The failure seems to conincide with the MS Exchange System attendant running maintenance on the IS.

Event logged at the time of failure are

event 7011: timeout (30000 milliseconds) waiting for a transaction response from
the RpcSs service: Time 3:50:38am

This event is followed by the termination of the RPC service.

The RPC service automatically restarts upon failure however the Exchange server becomes unavailable after the RPC restart.

After the failure and restart of the RPC the following event is constantly logged until the server is restarted (restarting the exchange service does not being Exchange back on line)

Event 9099: MAD monitoring thread was unable to read the state of the services.
error '0x80070006'

Anybody any ideas
