We have a predominantly Macintosh-based network that has a few PC's attached. The users that are set up on Mac OS X Server (our file/authentication server) work fine.

Additionally, when we had Windows 98, the computers connected to the server (and authenticated the user) properly.

However, our problem is this: we got Windows 2000 Professional (the workstation model) on a couple of computers, and can't get them to authenticate with the Mac OS X Server.

Is there any way to set up roaming profiles from Mac OS X Server, so this would function properly? Any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance...

Not aware that OS X will authenticate 2k Pro. There was a PDF on the Apple site on linking OS X to AD but I don't think it'll help.

Roaming profiles will work by setting an SMB share on OS X but you need a DC to authenticate them first and a UMD to specify the location of the profiles.

Which OS X are you using? 10.0 or 10.1 or what?

It's the latest version. 10.2, as I believe...
