We have a setup whereby we have a server based in one location and a support team based elsewhere who use remote access dial-in to support the users.

Recently the server was physically moved to another location and plugged into a new network. Although none of the settings on the server have changed apart from the access telephone number, we appear to have lost the ability to dial-in remotely. Whenever we try the connection just times out.

Both the modem and the telephone line have been tested and appear to be operating normally.

Does anybody have any other ideas as to what may have changed on the server that would prevent access?

Thank you.

Is the server set to assing IP addressing from a static pool of addresses or from a DHCP server?
