On a Windows 2000 server, we are having an issue where most of the remote internet clients connecting to it are having disconnection issues. I heard that 2000 and 2003 servers had a tcp/ip issue where it was bouncing but have not been able to find anything through the Microsoft website. We have tried continuous pings and the session drops but not the ping??? Has anybody heard of this issue?

That's odd. I manage over a dozen servers using both Windows 2000 Server and Windows 2003 server (standard and SBS) and never had a problem with RDP disconnecting. My servers are all in different locations with different configurations and managed over satellite links and DSL links. Are you having trouble with RDP within the lan or are you connecting through WAN ?

We have no problems within the LAN, and the users are connecting via https with an applet to the servlet over the internet. I hope that makes sense. Thanks so much for your reply and any assistance you can offer.
