I've got the MCSA training kit for the Microsoft Windows 2000 tests. Did Microsoft ever give a drop dead date when they are going to retire the 2K series? Would it be a waste to spend my time getting any certifications in that? For the record, I have no Microsoft certifications yet.

Thanks for any input.

ts8586,

Microsoft's stated policy is that the lifecycle of operating systems is 5 years, with an additional 2 years of "extended support", before they cease providing customer support.

While it would not be a waste of your time to get certified in Windows 2000, the time that it will be a supported product is shorter than with Windows 2003.
