windows 2000 pro lockup

hello,
can somebody please help me. I have windows 2000 pro on my toshiba satillite, and i have a problem where after 10 - 15 mins of booting it crashes or blue screens and i have to re-boot. Can any give me any suggestions on what it could be??

See if it boots up in Safe mode.
If it does, then troubleshoot it with a clean boot:

I agree with ski and would like to add some more 'food for thought':

1. Does the length of time vary depending onhow "hard" your laptop is working? (Harder=faster could be overheating)

2. Is the same software running each time (i.e. could it be software realted?) Ski's suggestion of checking Safe Mode is great, because no "internet-origined" programs will be running. No crashes in Safe Mode means it's likely a software problem, not hardware.

3. Is your anti-virus software up to date?
