I'm running a single-domain, Windows NT 4.0 SP6a server using DHCP. Also running WINS, but on another server. Most clients are Win NT 4.0 SP6a, but I'm introducing Windows 2000 Pro SP2 clients.
Since I've introduced them, I've been having problems of reaching my license limit because these machines will take up 11 user sessions each. When I look on the Win2K client, the shared, mapped directories will all have a red "X". I can reconnect to the drive by clicking on it.
I have added all users to the local group and to the domain and I've added the machines to the domain successfully. Not sure why these clients are having problems staying connected. And the problem is random...for days at a time, each Win2K client will only use one user session.
Additionally, some clients that connect via Citrix Metaframe 1.8 will not terminate the user session once they have logged off. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
