Ok, I have a two computer network set up both running Windows2000. The IPs are set correctly, workgroups the same, internet is shared and working on both, I can ping back and forth, file and printing shared...

All this is great, but I can´t get the two computer to see each other (through computers near me or after searching for one another). Any ideas?

thanks.

In such a small network I would install Netbeui as a protocal on both machines. This will help resolve the names and you will be able to see both machines in network neighborhood. You could also create lmhosts files for both machines. Either way should fix your problem.
