Hello, I develop crystal reports for an application (in c++). All of my reports are based off of stored procedures lying on a SQL 2000 database. Recently it was decided my product's database would reside on a SQL 2000 Named Instance, but since I had been testing on a standard install of sql 2000 I continued to develop reports on it. Today I ran into a problem, as I now have the named instance on my machine, and I can print and view reports within Crystal Reports, but not my own application, (I get a "Error detected by database DLL." error, as well as this error:
[tt]"07/24/01, 15:59:42, 4, 0,
C:\myrptfile.rpt:Server has not yet been opened."[/tt])
Has anyone encountered this before? what do I need to do? I suspect it might have something to do with the redistributables and the fact that crystal 8.0 came out when only sql 7.0 existed, but I'm pretty lost at the fact that everything works fine inside of the crystal application.
Platform:
Windows 2000 Service Pack 2
Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 1
Reports use OLE DB connect (mdac 2.6 installed)
Crystal Reports 8.0 Developer
