Microsoft released a new security patch on Jan 30, 2002 called the "Windows 2000 Security Rollup Package". This patch is a collection of recent HotFixes along with some brand-new ones.
In our QA department's normal testing of released product, we have determined that installing this Security Rollup Package "as-is" will cause an iHEAT or GoldMine Everywhere Thin Client server to cease functioning. The remote user can connect to the server itself, but the Program Window or Application will not appear.
We believe that there is only one HotFix in the Security Rollup Package that causes this conflict and are currently working to isolate it. Our recomendation is: DO NOT apply the Security Rollup Package, and apply the individual compatible HotFixes once we are able to isolate the incompatible HotFix.
We will post more details as we uncover them.
