Windows 2000 / IIS problems

I switched from a Win98 OS to Windows 2000 and I am trying to get Personal Web Server and IIS working. I loaded it from the Win 2000 CD and the services are running but when I try to start Personal Web Server through the Adminstrative Tools Icon it will not start. When I try to start Internet Services I get an error that says "The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely mannor". I looked through the MS knowledgebase and did not get any answers. Anyone gone through this and have any ideas?

this is not a frontpage question.

id expect you will get the answer at the windows 2000 or IIS forum.

I'm trying to get Frontpage working on a Windows 2000 machine and in order for it to work PWS has to work. I figured that some Frontpage user has probably gone through this exersize.
