I recently installed windows 2000 and all was well, but following an automatic update I have had the following problem.
I switch on the machine and enter the password to connect to our network and then the egg timer appears and remains. (I left it overnight once and it was still there in the morning). If I log off, and then log on again I can connect with no problem. I have tried doing this with the network cable unplugged and I have no problems at all, so I guess that it is something to do with my PC connecting to the network.
Any ideas?
