windows 2000 error

I have an error notice that states cannot access a necessary file "gapi32.dll" what is this and how do I fix it I tried to use norton to fix it and it couldn't. It is involved with C:\WINNT\System32\MPISRVR.EXE.

Not sure what it is, but if you can verify that it exists on your computer, you might just need to register it. To do this goto a command prompt and type "regsvr32 c:\winnt\system32\gapi32.dll" w/o the quotes.

I typed into run and it said it doesn't recognize this suggestion you gave me to try.

See if you can find gapi32.dll on the C: drive - it lives here C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\Mapi\1033\NT\GAPI32.DLL on my win2k machine. This

suggests its just Norton getting its knickers in a twist - so you might want to take its advice!
