I have question regarding rights in Windows 2000.

Here is the scenario: Lets say I have a directory called “Accounting”, shared as “Accounting”, underneath Accounting lets say I have four directories (retail, cost, planning, budget). Some users can access all four directories, some access 1, 2 or 3 based upon group membership. For the people that need to access more than one directory I would like to keep them under one share..

Now my problem; I would like to make it so if someone only has access to one, two or three of the directories they can only see the ones they have access to. Because of the varying rights between groups I would like to avoid using the DENY rights. This was very easy to accomplish under Netware.

Any advise on how to do it under 2000?

I have recently migrate from Netware to MS too.

I have missed that feature in netware which says that if you don't have access to the directory, you can't see it.

In W2K you don't have such a feature. Sorry.
