Hi,

We are currently running a new server setup in one of our locations that has Windows 2003 R2 servers.

We also have a windows 2000 server in our branch locations.

We currently have a DFS setup between the old windows 2000 servers from this location to our branch.

I'm now trying to migrate the DFS to the new windows 2003 server but notice it doesn't seem to wanna work with creating a replication group with the windows 2000 server in our branch.

I've heard rumor that 2000 and 2003 dfs's are incompatible. is that true? has anyone else have this problem and managed to work around it?

Thanks in advance for the help

Win2000 and Win2003 are perfectly compatible.
Win2000 and Win2003 R2 are not....

DFS vs. DFSR...a completely different replication type...
