By default does Windows 2000 use NTLM or Kerberos for the authentication method?

Kerebos is the default for computers running 2000 in a 2000 domain. NTLM is the default used for older clients (and servers!) in a 2000 domain.

NTLM is used for 2000 clients authenticating on NT domains.

I think NTLM is also used for authentication on standalone 2000 machines.
