Hello:

Now we have novell server with 50 m/cs . I would like migrate to windows 2000 server or WIndows NT 4 server . Please help me which server o/s is going be better windows 2000 or windows NT , what are the advantages and disadvantages of NT and W2k ? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My recomendation is window 2000 as NT is already on extended support from Microsoft and will not be supported after June 30, 2004.

Just a question what are the workstation's o/s?

Hi,

According to me you prefer Windows 2000 network.

Cause there are lots of advantages over windows NT Server.

I recommend going with 2k server. But install your service packs 1-3 and all your security updates. We went from NT 4.0 Server to 2K Server about 18 months ago and all is running GREAT. But have you ever thought about throwing a Linux server in there somewhere. Well have fun.
