I was reading the ARCserve Disaster Recovery .pdf file and it states that "DR can only be performed locally on a Windows 2000 machine" Hmmmmmm. What does this mean?? Do I have to have a tape backup machine attached directly to the Windows 2000 machine or can I still use my original ARCseve Server as the point of connection for the tape machine. Please help! Whaaaaaaa!

Relax,
DR for win 2k can be performed remotely from the ARCserve server that performed the backup. They just haven't updated the pdf, but if you want to check, then go to support.ca.com, then go to the patches page for ARCserve 2000, then click on sp3 and check all the fixes, do an on screen search for remote, and reomte DR for win2k should be there somewhere.
