I've used Eudora for over 20 years, and depend on all the data and worldwide contact information.
The newest September 2017 update disallows entering new Nicknames (contact names).
Also, the program shuts down when doing a search of the address book, unless it is done slowly while clicking back and forth from background to search box before pressing enter.
