Windows 10 issue

During the latest Windows 10 update the computer locked up. How does one get the PC to boot to the login screen? It wants to drop into setup of the BIOS. Thanks for your time. flogrr

BIOS is independent of the OS. When the PC boots, usually F2 or DEL key's during the POST will take you to the BIOS settings.
You say "Locked up", but that's too vague. Does windows start to boot? Also, you can boot in safe mode...

What exactly are you seeing that makes you think its dropping into BIOS?

Is the hard drive being recognized in the BIOS?

How about posting a picture of where it gets to and stops. That would be very helpful. If it IS booting to BIOS then it's likely the hard drive is not being recognized or is not bootable. The BIOS would only tell you about the former.
