I had regular BSODs when using Opera and Google Chrome browser. Couldn’t determine the exact actions that preceded BSOD. Also there were sudden Chrome browser window turning black moments that lasted for around a second while I did the page scrolling. "Use hardware acceleration when available" option was checked, it is unchecked now, no more sudden black screens inside browser window. Didn’t have any BsoDs since then while using Chrome.
Moreover, BSoDs keep happening in at least one game I’m playing. The game – “Iratus” – doesn’t seem to be demanding to the graphics adapter, it runs just fine without lags on my laptop. BSoD steadily happens after around 10 minutes of playing.
The BSoD codes were 0x00000124 “WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR” – most frequent, 0x00000119 “VIDEO_SCHEDULER_INTERNAL_ERROR”, 0x0000001A “MEMORY_MANAGEMENT”- at least once each.
Dumps from both before and after fresh Windows installation are here:
My NVIDIA driver wasn’t updated to the latest version. Updating it changed nothing.
OS: Windows 10. Fully reinstalled it – to no avail.
Used Kaspersky free antivirus to check system volume – no viruses found.
Configuration:
AMD Ryzen 7 3700X CPU
Asus ROG Strix B450-F Gaming MOBO
ASUS GeForce GTX 1080 8192Mb, Strix-GTX1080-A8G-Gaming Graphics card
Samsung M378A1K43CB2-CTD 8G RAM (x4)
256GB 2.5", SATA III, Plextor S3C,PX-256S3C SSD
Cougar "CMX 700" CGR B2-700 ATX12 V2.0 Wt
No overclocking applied, Motherboard BIOS settings were default all the time.
Tried removing RAM sticks one after another – BsoDs keep happening no matter which stick is removed.
BSoDs and sudden game visuals freezes keep happening for around a month. I bought and installed “AMD Ryzen 7 3700X CPU” and “Asus ROG Strix B450-F Gaming MOBO” around 3 months ago. Cougar "CMX 700" power unit is 7 years old. Everything else is 2 years old.
Prime95 is running for at least 4 hours, not a single failed test so far.
What can I do to determine the source of these problems?
Thanks in advance!
