Hello,

I would like to know of there is a command that can resize the main window (with the widgets) in Windows. I have
created a application on my Sun and when I tested it on my laptop it did not display because it was too long. I had to manually modify wm minsize, maxsize but now I can't see everything. Note that I used place to place the widgets.

Thanks,

There's your problem. place is a simplistic geometry manager, similar to nailing widgets to the wall; it doesn't handle window resizes gracefully. In all my Tcl programming, I've rarely used place except to simulate dialogs in Tclet programming or to create megawidget manager widgets such as a paned frame.

Use pack. Or use grid. Don't use place. - Ken Jones, President
